SUPPORTING THE IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE QUALITY INFRASTRUCTURE SECTOR IN SERBIA
On 9 - 12 September 2019 two two-day seminars "Key issues on application and use of Eurocodes in the area of concrete and reinforced concrete constructions" were held in Belgrade and Novi Sad in cooperation with the Serbian Institute for Standardization (ISS) and the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia within the framework of the Aid for Trade project "Support for improvement and development of the quality infrastructure sector in Serbia", implemented by the ÚNMZ. It was an activity of Output 2 of the project aimed at raising awareness of stakeholders and the professional public about European legislation and standards in the field of construction products and specific aspects of their application. Specifically, the seminars were focused on the application of Eurocodes in the field of concrete and reinforced concrete structures, including the transfer of Czech experience and knowledge on specific aspects of the implementation of European legislation and standards in the field of construction products. Seminars were attended by representatives of the professional public (design offices, universities, construction companies, manufacturers and other stakeholders). Seminar participants received a copy of the Serbian version of the handbook issued by the European Commission "Eurocode 2: Background and Applications: Design of Concrete Buildings" prepared within the project.
