Translations of guidelines from the European Commission's Expert Group on Toy Safety
These guidelines are non-binding documents intended to set out rules to assist Member States and stakeholders in classifying toys and resolving other uncertainties in the application of the Toy Safety Directive or national legislation transposing the Directive. These documents reflect the views of the majority of the members of the Toy Safety Expert Group.
As it was not within the European Commission's power to grant the rights to use the images to the translations of the guidelines, the translations of the guidelines do not include the images used in the original guidelines. The images are therefore replaced in the translations by a reference to the location in the original guideline. The figures are examples intended to facilitate decision making in the classification of toys. However, this does not imply that the products depicted are in conformity.
The current original guidelines (European Union publications) are published on this European Commission website:

However, more recent versions may be published on the European Commission's website listed above that have not yet been incorporated into the translations.
