Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of standardization and legal metrology between the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the United Arab Emirates (MOIAT)

On the occasion of the 1st meeting of the Czech-Emirati Intergovernmental Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation, a "Memorandum of Understanding in the field of standardization and legal metrology" was signed on 14 June 2024 at the premises of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Prague between the Office for Technical Standardization, Metrology and State Testing (ÚNMZ) and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the United Arab Emirates (MOIAT). Jiří Kratochvíl, Chairman of ÚNMZ, and on behalf of the Emirati side the Deputy Minister H.E. Omar Ahmed Suwaina Al Suwaidi. The Memorandum provides a framework for mutual cooperation in specific areas of interest and according to the needs of both sides, focused in particular on the development and implementation of national standards and mutual recognition of the results of verification and calibration of measuring instruments, including the comparison of national standards.
