Whistleblower protection

As a competent authority within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law (Directive (EU) 2019/1937), the ÚNMZ informs that:

• Reports on breaches of certain areas of EU law can be made through the internal reporting system of the ÚNMZ;
• The Competent Person within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 is designated the Human Resources and Legal Unit staff member. Report can be made by written submission addressed to the Office stating "For the attention of the Competent Person only", by e-mail to the address "protipravnijednani@unmz.cz" a or by dropping an addressed or anonymous report into the box for complaints, objections and reports located on the fifth floor of the registerred office /temporary workplace of the ÚNMZ.
• The Office for Technical Standardization, Metrology and State Testing as the obliged entity excludes the acceptance of notifications from a person who does not perform work or other similar activities for the obliged entity pursuant to Section 2(3)(a), (b), (h) or (i) of the Whistleblower Protection Act

Reports will be dealt with in accordance with the procedures and within the time limits set out in the Directive (EU) 2019/1937.
