The Office for Technical Standardization, Metrology and State Testing (ÚNMZ), through the EU and International Cooperation Department, continuously coordinates cooperation with European and non-European countries that wish to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with the Czech Republic in the areas of competence of the ÚNMZ, which are metrology, state testing and standardization.
Among the countries with which the ÚNMZ has so far established cooperation in some of its areas of competence within the framework of the above-mentioned principles are Azerbaijan, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. ÚNMZ is currently implementing a project in Georgia called "Preparation of technical specifications for the implementation of the EU project according to the current needs and requirements of the beneficiaries" and in the Republic of Serbia, under the "Aid for Trade" programme, a foreign development cooperation project called "Support for improving the quality of Serbia's infrastructure system and its adaptation to EU rules".
